Sleep........what is that?! ♥

Hello you beautiful people!

Today's post is going to be just a chit chat/rambling one, hope you guys don't mind! I enjoy reading other people's chit chat/rambling blogposts because I'm just nosey and like to see what people are talking and thinking about, haha.

At the moment, I am beyond sleep deprived....all thanks to my job! I LOVE my job but the hours are sooo anti-social! For those of you that don't know (which will be all of you haha) I work at an airport as a passenger service agent for a company called Servisair. Basically I check in, board and meet arrivals for Thomson, Thomas Cook and Ryanair. My dream job is to become cabin crew so I thought having employment in an airport environment will really work in my favour.....hopefully anyway!

Over the past 4 consecuative days I have worked a 12 hour shift, another 12 hour shift, nights and then nights again. You may be thinking "yeahhhh thats nothing" but bare in mind that it takes me and hour to get to work, this is all done wearing heels and I can start as early as 3:30am - not easy I tell you! It's all preparation to being cabin crew though :D I really do love my job but I also love sleep and having a social life haha. Thankfully this is just a one off and I don't usually work these shifts on consecuative days within the same week.

The bags under my eyes have never been worse - joking! But they have got worse since the lack of sleep haha. I cannot wait to have a day off to catch up on everything I've been missing out on, like sleep and socialisng :)

Do any of you lovely ladies (or gentlemen) share the pain of working anti-social hours too?

Bye for now, it's time for bed (finally!) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Love, Jess

  1. Gawd those hours sound like a nightmare! And in heels too! At least you know you're working towards something, makes it all seem worth while :)
Hope you have caught up on all your sleep!!

  2. They are a nightmare! Last week I did two 12 hour shifts and then two night shifts on consecuative days! It's all part and parcel of the job and hopefully will help me get a cabin crew job so it'll be worth it in the long run :D
I've finally caught up on sleep thankyou, feels so good haha
    Love, Jess ♥
